Great question! We pioneered the concept down in Florida nearly 20 years ago. It's a simple three-step process...thus our slogan: CLICK. RENT. RIDE.
1. CLICK - Simply visit our website and click any of the Rent a Cruiser Bike buttons.
2. RENT - Choose a date from the calendar and fill out the simple online reservation form. Once completed, check your email for a confirmation containing your Bike # and lock combination.
3. RIDE - Enjoy your adventure and return the bike to the same location. Please remember to lock up the bike AND helmet. Lastly, text us a photo of the bike(s) locked back up in the rack and your rental is complete!
Yes. However, to ensure availability, we HIGHLY suggest you make your reservation in advance.
All of our bikes are 3-speed, step-through, unisex cruiser bikes made by Priority Bicycles. They have grease & rust-free belt drives (instead of chains), puncture-resistant tires, and internal gear hubs...making them extremely reliable.
You will receive a free helmet, bike basket, and bike lock. A tire repair kit will be tucked under the seat as well.
All riders under 18 years of age MUST wear a helmet. However, we STRONGLY urge everyone to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle!
Absolutely! We provide FREE toddler/child helmets with both.
There are hundreds of miles of bike paths and roads in the area. However, due to environmental conditions, we do not allow our bikes to be ridden on the Hiawatha Trail. We will also include an online link containing bike trail maps and safety tips in your confirmation email.
Yes! There is a free parking lot on the left as you come down Academic Way...right before your cross the Centennial Trail. Park there and walk about 100 yards to Dock A. It's the second dock, closest to the bridge. Our Self-Service rack is right at the top of the dock.
All items will be included with your bike(s). Any box lunches will be placed in a refrigerated tote bag just prior to your expected arrival. If we notice you are running late, we may bring the box lunches down to the dock to keep them fresh. If we do, we will leave a note with your bike(s) and/or notify you.
No problem. We are usually right there on the dock tending to our SpaBoat and Deck Boat Rental business. Just give us a call at 208-449-9792 and we will be happy to help.
Almost every day is a good day for a bike ride! However, safety is always our top priority. Therefore, if we detect lightning within 10 miles or other weather conditions that are unsafe, we may have to cancel your rental. In the event of a cancellation, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your options to reschedule.
Life happens and we understand! Full refunds (minus the booking fee) are offered if you need to cancel prior to 24 hours before your trip. For cancellations less than 24 hours prior to your trip, we do not offer refunds…However, we can offer you a credit for a future date. We ride rain or shine. We monitor the weather & road conditions and will make ongoing decisions regarding your safety. If we need to cancel your rental due to weather or current-related reasons, we will reach out to you as soon as possible to discuss your options to reschedule. We cannot accept same-day cancellations via email. If you need to cancel on the day of your booking, please give us a call at 208-449-9792.
We keep a very tight schedule making sure the bikes are ready for the next guests. If you return more than 30 minutes late, we reserve the right to charge you an additional $20 per hour. Please let us know if you are running late!
Just like any rental car or boat, you are responsible for any damage. However, we offer damage protection that can be purchased when you make your reservation. It also allows you to cancel up to two hours in advance.
Our bikes are brand new and they are extremely safe & reliable. The have belt drives, instead of chains and internal gearing mechanisms. However, in the unlikely event of a breakdown or accident, give us a call and we will either help you fix the issue remotely or we will make arrangements to assist you.
Yes. Our bikes come with fully adjustable bike seats.
You must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid credit card.
ADULT CRUISER BIKES:
Half-Day Rentals (4 hours) are $29 per bike
Full-Day Rentals (8 hours) are $49 per bike
Additional Days are $39 per bike
YOUTH CRUISER BIKES:
Half-Day Rentals (4 hours) are $19 per bike
Full-Day Rentals (8 hours) are $29 per bike
Additional Days are $25 per bike
